Movies Released the Last Time the Cubs Won the World Series
1908 is the year I’m talking about, not 2016. It would be funny for you to click this and then it was all crap from this year, but no. Good idea though.
Excursion to the Moon
This movie is an unauthorized remake of the 1902 Georges Méliès film A Trip to the Moon. Basically, director Segundo de Chomón would be working for the Asylum crew if he were alive or some sort of super-functional zombie today.
Romeo and Juliet
This was the first film version of the William Shakespeare play to be made in America. Just like Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 version, this one is kind of creepy in retrospect.
The Red Spectre
A magician is doing his act when a Good Spirit rolls up on him. I think this is the play they were doing in Interview with the Vampire or Tombstone.
The Haunted House aka The House of Ghosts
FUN FACT: This movie was an inspiration to Jennifer Kent, director of The Babadook, and appeared in one of the scenes.
The Electric Hotel
I will go ahead and assume incorrectly that this short film inspired Paranormal Activity.
Legend of a Ghost
This one is spoopy, creppy, and filled with GOSTS!
Long Distance Wireless Photography
A simple film about the technology we would see in Back to the Future 2, it still creeps me the eff out.
