Freaks & Geeks

During the TCAs this week Judd Apatow went full reboot bingo and dropped all the key phrases: “You never know,” “It could happen,” and “We’ll see.” STOP TEASING US, APATOW.

Firefly

It just wouldn’t be an April Fool’s Day (or a Comic-Con) without rumors of a Firefly reunion.

This one is a bit of an outlier, because we GOT the reunion we wanted in the form of a sixth season. We rallied around this one SO HARD. And then we didn’t watch. Sometimes it really is the fight we care about the most, isn’t it?

Happy Endings

The rumors of a Happy Endings reunion have just been straight-up painful. Remember last year, when every cast member found themselves unemployed at once? And then they started tweeting cryptic links to a countdown clock? And then remember how absolutely nothing came of that? Yeah, me too.

This one keeps popping up every couple years. Just last week, we were told a Friends reunion was FINALLY HAPPENING FOR REAL. It took less than 24 hours for that to fall apart.

Veronica Mars

Oh right, we got this one, didn’t we? That’s how forgettable I found that movie to be.

Spice Girls

Another one that just won’t go away. Again, this one was in conversation just last week, this time with Ginger Spice saying that even though nothing is “definite or concrete” there WILL be a reunion… though it will be happening without the too-famous Posh Spice Victoria Beckham. This is after Beckham dropped the ultra-harsh “Sometimes you’ve got to know when it’s time to leave the party” quote last year.

Mean Girls

Leading up to the 10th anniversary of Mean Girls, we got to see the cartoonishly epitomical timeline of a reunion rumor. Lindsay Lohan went on Fallon’s Tonight Show and said she’d been approached by Fey for a reunion. Then, by Fey’s account, Lohan told Fey that they might be approached for comment on the reunion rumor Lohan created. Then Fey had to clarify that there wouldn’t be another movie. Then she said maybe there would be a panel discussion an some hot wings.

Gilmore Girls

OH WAIT! This one is happening. And it only took a decade of panel Q&A’s with coy “It could happen” and “I’d be interested” answers from Amy Sherman-Palladino and the cast. See! Dreams DO come true!
