The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters tomorrow (or tonight, for those of you obviously without kids who are insane enough to watch a 3 hour movie at midnight), and it has the feel of a holiday. How many people are taking half a day off to go see it? How many are taking the full day off? How many already have your tickets? Quite a few of you, I understand, as The Dark Knight Rises has already sold $25 million in advance tickets. Our review will be up tonight, and I encourage you all to come back and leave your thoughts after you’ve seen the film, whether you ultimately agree with Dan or not. But please don’t leave any death threats. That ain’t cool, bro. It’s a movie. Nobody killed your pet and urinated in your breakfast cereal. It’s a movie we can’t wait to see; this is what we live for, y’all.
It’s been a heavy week, with “Breaking Bad” returning, The Dark Knight Rises arriving tomorrow, the Emmy nominations today, and all those awful things happening in 2010 on “Newsroom.” So I encourage you all to ease back, get some perspective, and don’t take everything so goddamn seriously.
This little pictorial ought to help your transition into the afternoon and on to tomorrow.
