6. Chris Brown Was Arrested for Felony Assault.

Police arrested Brown early this morning after he punched a man nearby the DC W Hotel; another man was also charged. A third man was injured (broken nose) and transported to the hospital. According to TMZ, a couple of female fans were having a photo taken with Brown when the victim and another man “photo bombed” them—according to the victim, Brown “went nuts,” hurled a gay slur and punched the victim. Still on probation for beating Rihanna, Brown could be in a world of trouble.

5. CBS Announced a Charmed Reboot; Milano and McGowan Tweeted.

Aaaand, witches are hot again. We’ve got American Horror Story: Coven and The Witches of East End; now CBS aims to cash in on the trend with a Charmed do-over. The pilot is being scripted by Chris Keyser and Sydney Sidner (Party of Five)—neither seems to have done much since. Not for nothing, but McGowan captured my sentiment.

4. Snowpiercer Got a New Poster…and a Bumped Release Date.

Dammit, Weinstein! Apparently it’s not enough to cut the American version of Joon-ho Bong’s dystopian thriller—which by the by, is doing quite well in Korea—now the release date has been bumped (a second time) to…who knows when? That’s right, we have no new date. So um, enjoy staring at the poster? Snowpiercer stars Tilda Swinton, John Hurt, Ed Harris, Chris Evans, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer and Kang-ho Song.

3. The Immigrant Trailer Hit Town.

James Gray’s (We Own the Night, Two Lovers, Little Odessa) next outing boasts a potentially interesting tale and a great cast (Marion Cotillard, Joaquin Phoenix and Jeremy Renner; the trailer is gorgeous…I just hope things get a little more interesting than they appear here. Cotillard plays Ewa, a woman who comes through Ellis Island with her sick sister—who is immediately quarantined. Broke and vulnerable, Ewa is easy prey for Bruno (Phoenix), a shady dude who coerces Ewa into prostitution. Renner plays Bruno’s cousin, who falls for Ewa and may be able to help her escape Bruno’s clutches. The Immigrant has been on the festival circuit and should hit theaters by year end.

2. Tomas Alfredson (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Let the Right One In) Chose His Next Project.

The Swedish director will helm an adaptation of Astrid Lindgren’s beloved classic, The Brothers Lionheart, a tale of two brothers who meet in the afterlife and have great adventures together. Peter Straughan (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and John Ajvide Lindqvist (Let the Right One In) have co-written the script; Alfredson will also reunite with cinematographer, Hoyte van Hoytema (Let the Right One In, The Fighter, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy).

1. Just in Time for All Hallows’ Eve, This NSFW Here Comes the Devil Red Band Trailer Made Its Presence Known.

A family day trip to Tijuana caves goes downhill fast after the kids disappear without a trace. But wait, don’t despair—they come back! Only something’s just a leetle different, and it probably has something to do with that pesky titular Devil. Adrin García Bogliano’s (The ABCs of Death) latest earned rave reviews at the Toronto and Fantastic Film Festivals; it’ll hit U.S. theaters December 13th. Starring Francisco Barreiro, Laura Caro, Michele Garcia and Alan Martinez.
