Saturday Night Live announced today that they have tapped many-time host Alec Baldwin — he of the 2013 gay slur controversy that got his talk- show cancelled and also 30 Rock — as Donald Trump this season. He makes for an excellent Trump.

I am high on this season of SNL because I am convinced that the show will do everything in its power in the next five weeks to atone for having Donald Trump on as a host last season. I will be disappointed if they haven’t already talked to President Obama about a cameo on the episode before the election.
Meanwhile, in addition to announcing that Lin-Manuel Miranda will be hosting the second episode of the season, Emily Blunt has been tapped for the third episode of the year.
The series returns this weekend with host Margot Robbie and three new cast members — Mikey Day, Alex Moffat and Melissa Villaseñor — while three other cast members — Taran Killam, Jay Pharoah, and Jon Rudnitsky — will not be returning.
Here’s the Margot Robbie promo for this Saturday’s episode.
