Before you watch this, in case you are confused about the facts, let me reiterate what I posted yesterday: All the provocative stuff you have heard the last two days about Donald Trump was unverified and came from raw intel memos posted by Buzzfeed. As an expert noted yesterday (I forget where I saw it), intelligence officials are typically given raw intel and it’s up to them to figure out what’s true or not. Typically, some is true, some is not, and some can never be verified.
NONE OF THAT came from CNN. CNN (and The Guardian and CBS) wrote only about verifiable information, and everything they wrote has been corroborated. Where it concerns collusion with the Russians, it’s nearly as damning as the more salacious stuff.
Both Donald Trump and Kellyanne Conway know and understand that CNN had nothing to do with the Buzzfeed report. However, in an effort to discredit CNN’s quality, substantiated reporting, Trump and Conway are trying to conflate CNN with Buzzfeed and throw them both under the bus.
Here’s Anderson Cooper attempting to push back on that with Kellyanne Conway, and Conway basically refusing to hear it, as an increasingly agitated and frustrated Anderson Cooper attempts to make his case.
