Good morning, and welcome to the continuing dumpster-fire circus that is 2016! With a little more than two months left of the year, maybe you thought you already saw everything! Maybe you thought that nothing else in this campaign could possibly surprise you anymore! But then, the Former Lt. Gov. of NY State and a Senior Fellow at the London Center for Policy Research, Betsy McCaughey, PhD, went and used the phrase “man-shaming” in reference to the sexual assault allegations against Donald Trump.
I’m going to roll tape here, but you need not to sit through this. I’ll provide the transcript below.
.@Betsy_McCaughey: "Polls show that people are not buying this roll out of [Trump] accusers" https://t.co/u52Ea97Ny8 https://t.co/FoFpjN22Vm

Here’s the relevant quote:
First of all, I have had a very long relationship of great affection and friendship with Megyn Kelly, I have enormous respect for how she runs her show, but I do believe the polls show that Americans are not buying this roll out of accusers, and this bigger theme of man-shaming and they want to get to the real issues.
Sadly, Don Lemon — who was interviewing McCaughey in the clip — let that go, instead of providing the only appropriate response to the idea that bringing up a presidential candidates sexual assault allegations is “man shaming”:
I mean, really, Betsy McCaughey? Wow!
This is why it may be the end of comedy. There is no way to top this. https://t.co/l2pOdJHT6p
