Third Indictment Ties Directly to Collusion Between Trump's Campaign and Russia
In that last post about Kushner, where I mentioned that a third indictment was unsealed revealing that a former foreign policy aide to Trump pled guilty to lying to the FBI, I may have buried the lede.
He lied to the FBI about colluding with Russia.
Seems quite significant… pic.twitter.com/lg8IC3OTBh— Gritty Reboot 🍝 (@AdamSerwer) October 30, 2017
Wow. "PAPADOPOULOS emailed the High Ranking Campaign Official, with the subject line "New message from Russia"… pic.twitter.com/XEU9j1r0m9— Pema Levy (@pemalevy) October 30, 2017
In case that all isn’t apparent, Papadopoulos — while working as a foreign policy aide to the Trump campaign — made attempts to connect the Trump campaign with Russia to get dirt on Clinton and her emails.
Trump, no doubt, will try to separate himself from the guy:
Remember that on March 21, 2016 Trump praised George Papadopoulos when discussing his campaign's foreign policy team. pic.twitter.com/n4hSNIXjq0— Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) October 30, 2017
Note that timing, too. He knew about the Clinton emails in April. They weren’t released until the summer. (Also, Don Jr. DID meet with the Russians on June 9th).
Well, so this is news: the British or UK-based "professor" who met with Papadopoulous knew of the Russian hacking in April 2016: pic.twitter.com/jKMrRGnxha— Michael Weiss (@michaeldweiss) October 30, 2017
It’s important to note, too, that Papadopoulos PLED GUILTY to that charge, and he has already spoken with authorities on multiple occasions. He’s cooperating.

Wow. Mueller's office also has plea agreement with campaign adviser who lied about his connections with Russians. https://t.co/P9PWX87fc2— Josh Dawsey (@jdawsey1) October 30, 2017
tl;dr: Mueller has a cooperating witness, who admitted to lying to the FBI about attempting to collude with Russia, and who knew of the Russian hack before the campaign admits it did.
