Jeb Bush was recently caught by some interviewers working for Showtime who interviewed him about where he’d like to show up on the Showtime channel, and here is his answer:
So, Jeb Bush, obviously well aware of his family values voters and his desperate need to lure xenophobic bigots aware from Donald Trump, would like to appear on Homeland in a way that is “G rated”, because Homeland definitely has any plots that would be considered “G rated”, but in which he also gets to “kill a terrorist, with my bare hands.” which is definitely something that could be depicted in a kid-friendly way, first of all, and second of all is definitely something people would see and decide “that guy pretending to kill a person in a brutally intimate way is definitely the man I want to lead our country.”*
What could have been a fun, softball question became a combination of deeply uncomfortable with a lingering aftertaste of “that’s not how that works. That’s not how any of this works.” about it. Well done, Jeb!
*Yes, I know some people would think that. Please don’t remind me.
