This went viral last night, but if you haven’t watched it yet, do so. It’s Lt. Gen. Jay Silveria, superintendent of the Air Force Academy, who stood all 4,000 of his cadets at attention and delivered a speech after five black cadet candidates found racial slurs written on the message boards on their doors. One message contained the words “go home n*****r.”
Lt. Gen. Silveria does not equivocate. “If you are outraged by those kind of words, you’re in the right place … you should be outraged not only as an airman, but as a human being … if you can’t treat someone with dignity and respect, then you need to get out.”
Watch it. Watch it all. It’s a tremendous video.
Respect, Lt. General. Put this man in charge of everything.
