Dr. Ben Carson is being questioned by the Senate Banking Committee today for his position as Donald Trump’s Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. The confirmation is all but a done deal, because obviously Ben Carson deserves the position because he, uh, grew up in government housing, which makes a medical doctor eminently qualified.
Ben Carson is first HUD Sec to have actually lived in gov't housing. Fancy Nancy Pelosi says he's not qualified; is she racist or just dumb?

Whether Carson would use HUD funds for the benefit of the Trump Organization didn’t seem like a concern earlier, but maybe it is?
Carson is declining to promise to @SenWarren that HUD funds won’t be managed to benefit the Trump Organization.

Anyway, he had prepared remarks this morning to talk about how his background had prepared him for the position, remarks that he had already given to the press, but oops: The prepared text was plagiarized, word for word, from Where We Live Matters for Our Health, by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Carson smartly decided against actually uttering those remarks aloud because the Trump transition team probably doesn’t need another plagiarism scandal. (It’s been recently discovered that conservative commentator Monica Crowley, chosen to serve on the national security communications team, plagiarized large portions of her book and her PhD thesis. Harper Collins has subsequently dropped her book. The Trump Administration, however, stands behind her.)
Meanwhile, here’s a very telling answer to a question from Senator Elizabeth Warren today.

Ooops. Poor guy. I’ve been there! We’ve all done it. We’ve all accidentally said something we actually think but didn’t mean to say out loud.

Ben Carson tongue tied when asked about Trump benefiting from HUD $ 'It will not be my intention to do anything to benefit any American'
