This happened yesterday:

The Big Picture: The flag that Steven Mnuchin used is a Liberian flag, severely undercutting the impact of his attempt to mock Axl Rose, the lead singer of Guns n’ Roses, which has sold 100 million records worldwide, including 45 million in the United States. More recently, Guns n’ Roses completed a tour in 2017-2018 grossed $580 million, the second most lucrative concert tour ever. The band was inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.

Steven Mnuchin is the United States Treasury Secretary. He recently suggested that $1200 stimulus checks should be enough to provide Americans with enough money to live for around 10 weeks. He was also a producer on the 2016 Ben Affleck film, The Accountant.

Why It Matters: It doesn’t.

The Bottom Line: The Darkest Timeline is also the stupidest timeline.
