Remember water coolers? That weird spot in the office’s shared kitchen where you’d
have get to make polite conversation with that co-worker you barely know, all while filling hike-sized water bottles. It could be awkward, but if you had a show that you both happened to watch, why, it was sometimes the start of a real, legitimate friendship.
These days, everyone’s watching all sorts of shows that a co-worker (or in this case, a co-host on a television podcast!) might not have seen or even heard of.
(Except AppleTV+’s The Afterparty, which all of us watched, but did not discuss around a water cooler. Because there is no water cooler. There is only Podjiba.)
Despite our general inability to agree on what shows to watch, the benefit is that we once again covered a lot of new (and new-ish) content, like:
- The comedy/murder stylings of two new Netflix shows: The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window, and Murderville!
- Dustin keeps us updated on his unique brand of television Tori and I don’t watch with Amazon’s Reacher and AppleTV+’s Suspicion!
- We also get back into returning champions All Of Us Are Dead (Netflix), The Afterparty (AppleTV+), and Dustin managed to sneak in a last-minute discussion of Hulu’s Pam & Tommy!
Looks like we’re at least all in on The Afterparty for the next few weeks, so join us if you like your murder mysteries full of rotating genres and a ton of funny people you’ve seen in other things!
Podjiba! Always free, and on whatever podcast platform you prefer. Even your desktop, if you feel like clicking this link to download!
