We’re back on Wednesdays! Maybe for good! We shall see if schedules allow us to stick to our normal release timeframe.
Also, Roxana is back this week, helping us cross the fabled two-hour mark for this episode!
Really, it feels like that should be enough to sell you on why you should listen to the show this week, but in the event you’d like more detail…
- We open the show with our weekly discussion of Ted Lasso, which we definitely did not just happen to fall into during pre-show and then sort of just started recording!
- After finally getting around to the introduction, we had a grab bag discussion of some of the shows both new and old that we’re watching, including ABC’s new version of The Wonder Years, last week’s premiere of Survivor, and Roxana’s current revisiting of Top Chef!
- Only then do we finally start to discuss the other “main” topics this week, starting with the new Apple TV+ show Foundation, which has Jared Harris and Lee Pace and looks very expensive!
- Finally, the show ends with a thorough discussion of the new Netflix limited series Midnight Mass, which comes from Mike Flanagan (who created both The Haunting… shows). NOTE: In particular, this discussion contains spoilers, as Roxana, Tori, and Dustin all watched the entire series over the weekend! So if you’re worried about spoilers, maybe skip this part.
NEXT WEEK: Dustin will FINALLY be able to give us every single detail about the new NBC series La Brea!
Podjiba! Now available in a two-hour version, apparently. We can hardly believe it ourselves, but you can check it out wherever podcasts are found, and also right here.
