Admittedly, I know that these episodes of Podjiba can be long. And sometimes you may not have time to listen to the whole thing!

But I would feel bad if you missed the announcement that sort of came at the end of this week’s episode, which evolved as a joke out of the TV homework assignments we did a few weeks ago.

In any event: for some reason, for the month of July, we’re going to shift the focus of the podcast to the seminal television series Friday Night Lights!

…except we’re only covering season two.

Is this a good idea? We don’t know! But just to make sure we don’t back out, Dustin did this while we were still recording:

It remains unclear what we expect to learn from this experience, but hopefully it will be entertaining in some fashion.

(Also, please no spoilers for Tori, since she’s never seen it!)

Anyway, on to this week’s show, which took us down all sorts of random television paths (which is also why we ended up deciding on what we’re doing for July), but some of the key points we did remember to hit:

- Dustin wanted to talk 13 Reasons Why, although I still contend that he should have given us 13 reasons why (or why not) to watch the show!

- We discuss this season of Top Chef (sorry Tori!), which has been a fairly fun, more celebratory season than years past!

- Tori and Dustin try to explain the premise of Dark to me, with just a couple of weeks to catch up before season three!

- And instead of a game, we looked back at the TV lineups we put together on our very first episode, and consider which shows survived, which didn’t, and which ones we stopped watching even though we enjoyed them well enough!

Listen to the show below or on the podcast platform of your choice! Except for Pandora, because they still haven’t approved us for some reason. Weird. You can also directly download the episode right here.
