Just a few days after Andrew asked an increasingly poignant question about why the Fantastic Four cast is so white, Natasha Lyonne has reportedly joined the Marvel film in an undisclosed role. And, look, absolutely nothing against Lyonne, who would’ve made an awesome Thing, it’s getting hard to ignore the fact that almost every casting announcement coming out of this puppy involves actors of a certain, well, non-color. It’s really starting to feel deliberate at this point, so it’s not out of bounds to wonder if Marvel has been spooked by the “anti-woke” crowd and all of the incel bed-wetting contained therein.
