Following the lackluster response to Secret Invasion, which managed to break even Brian’s superhuman generosity by the end, it sure seemed like Marvel was in some trouble. Toss in the offensively nonsense gobbledygook that was Quantumania and the Jonathan Majors elephant in the room, and Loki Season 2 looked to be in trouble. Not so much! The first trailer is apparently shattering records left and right. Will that actually translate to people not getting bored like they did with Secret Invasion? Who knows? However, it should be noted that Loki is the only Marvel series that came close to putting up The Mandalorian numbers, and that was on the heels of another tepid disappointment: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Although, Secret Invasion was much, much worse. Painstakingly so. Seriously, what happened over there? (Deadline)
