The other day I highlighted how gross it was that Gina Carano’s tribute to Carl Weathers couldn’t help but revisit her very public firing from The Mandalorian. Turns out she was priming the pump for a move I don’t think anyone saw coming: A lawsuit against Disney using Elon Musk’s money. Carano is alleging “wrongful termination” and “discrimination” in a suit that’s being funded through X/Twitter. You’d think that company would have bigger concerns like bleeding advertisers and being worth only a third of what Musk paid for it, but funding culture war lawsuits is one way to run a social media platform, I guess.
