When the news broke that acting legend Carl Weathers had passed away, one of my immediate reactions was to wonder if Gina Carano would emerge to shamelessly latch onto the spectacle. She did. In a “tribute” to Weathers, Carano couldn’t help but claim that he was immediately supportive after she was sh*tcanned from The Mandalorian for refusing to stop spreading transphobia, antisemitism, and COVID conspiracy theories. She also made it a point to claim that Weathers would’ve had a chance to direct episodes of Rangers of the New Republic if she hadn’t been fired, taking the show down with her. It was all but pretty gross, but the silver lining is Gina will slip right back into obscurity a.k.a. making movies for Ben Shapiro that nobody watches. (Deadline)
