Back in August, my mom joined the throng of conservatives who got wildly bent out of shape because Cracker Barrel dared to offer a meatless alternative to its breakfast sausage. What was especially weird — and obviously concerning — is when pressed, she couldn’t even articulate why this made her so mad. Also, not for nothing, my wife is a vegetarian, which my mom has always been cool with for almost two decades. Was there any grappling with how easily she fell into mob mentality? Haha, no, of course not, and here we are again. This week, Chick-fil-A announced a new breaded cauliflower alternative to its famous chicken sandwich. Keep in mind, this does not replace its original sandwich and nobody is putting a gun to anyone’s head forcing them to eat it. It’s just a free-market business making a free-market decision to boost its capital. Not on Republicans’ watch! The restaurant is getting blasted on social media for going “woke,” which is especially hilarious if you know anything about Chick-Fil-A being a balls-out religious establishment. It’s not even open on Sundays. But apparently offering vegetarian alternatives is for wimpy liberals, and we can’t have that. (Gizmodo)

Now that the extent of Justin Roiland’s involvement — or lack thereof — has been revealed. Here’s “The case for Rick and Morty” for your consideration. I still land on the whole show has to go, but felt this is worth a read. (Vox)

Speaking of video games, I regret to inform you that the new high-def vaginas in The Witcher 3’s latest next-gen update were a mistake. They will revert back to their original because meticulously coiffed pubic hair is a bridge too far in the naked sex game that sometimes has fighting. (Kotaku)

Michellers66 decided to kick off her Cannonball Read with a book about a maiden on a voyage, Freya Marske’s A Restless Truth. "There are indeed magicians, murder, and romance as Maud the maiden solves crimes and has a sexual awakening with the scandalous Violet." Do you have a favorite book that takes place on a ship?
