The last time we checked in on disgraced comedian Chris D’Elia, he was in a world of trouble over allegations of grooming underage girls. It’s the type of thing that you’d think might finally stop a stand-up career in its tracks, but nope. D’Elia reportedly showed up to The Laugh Factory last week for a surprise set where he was warmly greeted by the crowd. “It was very well-received and everyone clapped.” This world is a toilet. Despite Kanye putting Kim Kardashian onstage with Marilyn Manson without giving her a heads up, or so she says, she is apparently having second thoughts about the divorce now. Cool. Cool cool cool. (Dlisted)

Although, in Kim’s defense, it’s not like Kanye put Marilyn Manson on his new album that she’s helping to promote. — Except, oh wait, he did. Surprise! (Celebitchy)

A dude sued his parents for throwing out his porn stash and actually won, putting them on the hook for over $30,000. Granted half of that is attorney fees, but who owns $15,000 worth of the internet’s most freely available resource?! (AP)

I do not like reality TV at all. Its advent gave us the Kardashians, which paved the way for Trump, and yet, I absolutely loved FBoy Island. So here’s a pretty great interview with its “main character,” CJ Franco, even though I’m not sure I’m on board with that label. (Vulture)

Genuinely glad to see schools aren’t buying the “religious exemption” bullsh*t when it comes to wearing masks in schools. Nice try, wieners. (NBC News)

Step It up and Go: The Story of North Carolina Popular Music by David Menconi took Ursula Majorette back to her years listening to local bands. "I thoroughly enjoyed the book due to the historical research, and how the popular culture of the everyday people is shown to reflect trends, what’s important, and how sometimes you just don’t make it, even though you work hard." Menconi kindly commented on the review himself, sharing a Spotify playlist covering 9 decades of North Carolina music. Has one of your local bands hit it big? (Cannonball Read 13)
