Bill Maher had his second dinner at the White House last week, so naturally, he spent Friday’s episode of Real Time bragging about the event and calling everyone sticks in the mud for not being cool like him when it comes to breaking bread with MAGA. To cap things off, Maher then conducted the most softball of softball interviews with Karoline Leavitt where he couldn’t have glazed Trump more. But, apparently, not enough. Turns out, the interview asked the wrong question at one point, prompting a 1,300 word rant on Truth Social where Trump refers to the late night host as a “sleazebag” and tells him “don’t call anymore.” *smarmy Bill Maher voice* I guess “bros before hoes” isn’t on the cognitive test. *audience boos, groans* Oh, stop it… (The Wrap)

Have you ever decided you needed a break from something and then promptly picked that thing up again? Esmemoria decided she needed a break from thrillers after hating one of Jennifer Hiller’s books, but then she bought another one, The Butcher. “The ending is not suspenseful and when I was done with the book, I remonstrated myself for willingly tackling this woman’s writing again.” (Cannonball Read 18)
