Look: This is the sort of article where there will be at least one person who comments, “Who cares?!” But also, that person clicked and bothered to leave a comment, so I guess we know who really cares.
Granted, Barstool Sports personalities are not exactly our bailiwick here, but I did get caught up in the drama between country(ish) musician Zach Bryan and Barstool podcaster Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia last year (while also acknowledging that it’s a pointless story). Their split was seriously acrimonious, involved the release of loads of text messages that mostly made Zach Bryan look bad, and it even involved an effort on Bryan’s behalf to offer LaPaglia $12 million to sign an NDA.
She declined. To be fair, she’s mostly taken the high road, save for a couple of occasions when Bryan says something sh*tty on social media and she kneejerk reacts. I’m a big fan of Bryan’s music, or at least I was, but his public persona has actually soured me on it. He seems like kind of a dick, he gets into a lot of beefs, and seems to say a lot of dumb things on social media late at night after he’s had too much to drink.
And the way he’s handled his break-up with LaPaglia revealed a particularly nasty side of the musician, even if “Something in the Orange” is a banger of a track.
But, this is not about that, exactly. It’s about his new girlfriend. Her name is Samantha Leightonn. I don’t know anything about her. It’s not important in the context of this post. But Dave Portnoy (also a dick, but the boss of and defender of LaPaglia) could not get over how much she looked like LaPaglia. And I thought, “Surely, he’s exaggerating,” and I am here to tell you: He is not exaggerating.

These are not the same person. Weird, right? Zach Bryan either really has a type, or he’s being a dick again. Or both.
