Imagine you’re being interviewed in one of the top publications in your field. Now, imagine the person conducting the interview is your dad, and oh by the way, he also happens to be Arnold Schwarzenegger , who keeps saying he saw your “weenie” on TV. Well, that’s exactly what happened to Patrick Schwarzenegger in Variety’s Actor on Actor series.
Patrick starred in The White Lotus Season 3 where, if you haven’t heard, he gets naked. His brother-in-law, Chris Pratt, has already sung the praises of Patrick’s hog and at least called it “mesmerizing.” Now, it’s Arnold’s turn, who did not make it sound so cool. In fact, it was a pretty brutal transition.
Via Variety:
[Arnold:] “Terminator” was the first time that I was doing a film that had nothing to do with the muscles. It was with leather jackets on and being a machine. Only the opening scene was naked. But I’m talking about naked.Patrick: I’ve done it.
Arnold: I couldn’t believe [it]. I said to myself, “I’m watching your show, and I’m watching your butt sticking out there.” And all of a sudden, I see the weenie. What is going on here? This is crazy. Then I said to myself, “Well, Arnold, hello. You did the same thing in ‘Conan’ and ‘Terminator,’ so don’t complain about it.” But it was a shock to me that you were following my footsteps so closely.
Let’s back this up here: Arnold Schwarzenegger started talking about one of his most iconic and badass characters where he plays a relentless murder machine, but when the topic turns to Patrick’s role, he basically giggles and says, “Haha I saw your weenie.”
If that wasn’t humiliating enough, Arnold then brings up another one of his nude scenes where he was a famously muscle-bound barbarian. Not once did he describe his junk as a “weenie” or even a “pee-pee.”
I know we’re not supposed to feel bad for nepo-babies, but you gotta admit this is rough. Patrick is taking his lumps here. It’s now documented on the internet that his father is a movie legend who got nude to showcase his Greek statue of a body, but when Arnold thinks of Patrick’s work, his immediate reaction is “look at the weenie.” If that were me, I’d buy a mask and crawl beneath an opera house where you’d never see me again.
