I loved Pee-wee’s Big Adventure.
When I was 10.
I loved Pee-wee’s Playhouse.
When I was 11.
I’m glad that Pee-wee is back in Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, and I hope my kids dig the movie. However, having not watched Pee-wee in … a very long time, I am struck by just how kidcentric it is. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course, but to be honest, I’m not really interested in watching the movie other than as a passive observer while my kids watch.
It’s … cute, and Pee-wee has barely aged, but I lost interest about 30 seconds in.
Pee-wee’s Big Holiday will premiere on March 18th on Netflix.
