While watching Daredevil this weekend (YOU’RE WATCHING DAREDEVIL, RIGHT?), I found myself distracted by the “Where do I know that guy from?” question. I couldn’t figure out where I had seen Elden Henson, aka Foggy Nelson, so I turned to IMDB, expecting to see some movie or show that clicked for me. But instead of that satisfying aha! moment of “Oh, right! That’s where I saw him,” it turns out that he looks familiar because I apparently spent all the 90s watching his face without ever connecting that he was the same guy. So where do you recognize him from?
Is it from his turn as misunderstood bad boy Fulton Reed in The Mighty Ducks? (1992)
Or maybe as Fulton Reed in D2: The Mighty Ducks. (1994)
Oh! I know. You know him as Fulton Reed, friend of Baby Pacey, in D3: The Mighty Ducks. (1996)
Maybe you remember him from Foxfire (1996). I sure as hell don’t, and neither does the internet because I’m coming up empty trying to figure who his character of “Bobby” was. And I’m sorry, I love you all, but I am absolutely NOT willing to undergo a rewatch of that nonsense for the sole purpose of coming up with a still. Here’s a bunch of badass ladies judging us for not remembering his character.
Maybe it’s from this 1996 episode of Saved By the Bell: The New Class?
Just before the close of the 90s, Foggy hit his stride with Idle Hands (1999). Why wasn’t 90s teen alt-horror comedy more of a thing?
You guys, Foggy was also in She’s All That. KING OF THE 90s.
And while the 90s were technically over by this point, let’s remember that in 2001 he was the guy who messed up Josh Hartnett’s murder plans in O.
Um, spoilers for O if you’ve managed to never see it or the play or any film adaptation of Othello.
And we can all agree that The Butterfly Effect was basically a terrible 90s thriller made 5 years too late, right?
Oh, and uh… right. He was also in Hunger Games. So that could also be it.
