As a woman, it’s easy to get discouraged. With the rampant misogyny that affects us all and an absolutely disgusting amount of people declaring us “over-sensitive” or totally dismissing it as no big deal or just another “faux outrage” when we dare get bothered by it (we goddamn see you in the comments there), it all gets to be a big bummer. But then a hero Tumblr comes along and gives us the strength to carry on. Oh, and remind us that a lot of people are made of absolute garbage. Thanks to Shit People Say to Women Directors, women in the entertainment industry are spilling all the tea (alas, they name no names because they are classy/want to keep working) about the horrendous things people say to them on a daily basis.
Here are just a few of them. Warning: Everyone is awful and people are the worst.
