With each hour we’ve gotten to spend with the intoxicating Hayley Atwell and James D’Arcy, I become more addicted to their characters — and being immersed in another era. As the series likes to point out, we’ve come a long way, but Peggy’s doing her part not just for democracy, but for women (that hook!) Dominic Cooper was damned hysterical last night and hey, how about that Dottie? “I want that.” (Me too, Dottie.) Executive producers Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas hint that Peggy’s next door neighbor isn’t the only on hiding secrets; “There’s one little surprise that will come out about Angie toward the latter half of the season. There’s something that you wouldn’t expect about her.”
Next week’s episode, “The Iron Ceiling,” finds Peggy on a mission with the Howling Commandos. Only problem is, Agent Thompson’s along for the ride… “It’s going to become increasingly difficult for her to sustain this, because the people she works with are smart people.”
Quarles! Dugan!
