In response to the news that the incredible Bob Hoskins died yesterday, John Leguizamo has chosen to honor the late actor in a wonderful way: With a tribute to Hoskin’s least favorite movie he ever made.
Hoskins told the Guardian in 2007,
The worst thing I ever did? Super Mario Brothers. It was a fuckin’ nightmare. The whole experience was a nightmare. It had a husband-and-wife team directing, whose arrogance had been mistaken for talent. After so many weeks their own agent told them to get off the set! Fuckin’ nightmare. Fuckin’ idiots.
So naturally, Leguizamo chose this movie to bring up today. Because even in an utterly shitty movie, the man was still Bob F*cking Hoskins.
Dear #BobHoskins rest in peace! - never worked a more gentle kind and talented actor!
