Here's One Reason Why 'Game of Thrones' New Daario Naharis Is So Much Better than the Old Daario Naharis

Those of you who caught up with the fourth season premiere of Game of Thrones last night undoubtedly noticed that the old, blonde Fabio-looking Daario Naharis had been replaced with a new Daario Naharis, who is brunette, and bearded, and thus, far more easily confused with every other male character on Game of Thrones who isn’t a Lannister (this guy is going to be even more f**ked now).

It’s OK, though, because there was something definitely off about the old Daario Naharis, although that wasn’t the reason Ed Skrein — who played him last season — left. He left because of a movie offer. That may sound like a bad career move, but then again, the lifespan of a Game of Thrones character is shorter than an NFL offensive lineman. Besides, this new guy, Dutchmen Michiel Huisman, is a better actor.

But the best reason why the change is good for Game of Thrones? Because when it comes time to serenade Daenerys Targaryen, who would you rather hear?

The old Daario Naharis, Ed Skrein, rapping (terribly)?

Or the new Daario Naharis, who has jammed with the likes of Connie Britton and Lucia Micarelli?

Plus, this new Daario Naharis can say “motherf*ker” in Dutch (at :44)

This might also be a reason to prefer the new Daario.
