Here we go again. Maise Williams — aka the adorable but deadly Arya Stark — has added her thoughts to the Is-Jon-Snow-Really-Dead mix. I love her delivery; with a knowing laugh, she’s all “People are really hurt by it, but that’s what this show does. If you haven’t learned that by now, well, I can’t help you.” (Translation: Dumbasses!) And she’s right, of course — this is what George R. R. Martin is famous for (and wordiness and procrastination), and in turn, the series.

“We saw him get stabbed a lot in the chest; like I think that’s pretty clear.Well, if it makes you feel better, then yes, there’s hope [she rolls her eyes], but…no hope, ever.”

In a separate interview, Williams also gives her thoughts on the idea that Snow will come back as a White Walker,

“I think he’s gone. I mean, I could be wrong, but I really don’t think so. And people are like, ‘He’s going to come back as White Walker!’ I’m like, ‘Really, we’d bring back Jon Snow as a White Walker?!’ OK, you can believe what you’d like.”

or, be resurrected by Melisandre (conveniently returned to the wall just before Jon’s stabbing):

“I feel like she’s far too selfish for all of that.”

Yes, Melisandre is selfish, but if she (now) believes Jon is the Lord of Light’s chosen one, I’ve no doubt she’d bring Jon back.

As she readily admits, Williams doesn’t always know what’s coming up for her own character, so as Joanna notes, perhaps she doesn’t know other characters’ fates. Personally, I’d love it if Williams was right — if everyone was being truthful — and Jon doesn’t come back, because it would mean none of us truly knows what’s coming, readers and non, alike. And, wouldn’t that would be much more exciting than if the story plays out just as predicted?

Finally, asked who she’d like to see end up on the Iron Throne, Williams made her (sweet) prediction:

“It’s such a wonderful thought, how this is all going to end. It’s something that we all think about so much, I’m so glad I don’t have to make the decision because I would never be able to make it as epic as it’s supposed to be. I’d love to see someone like Sansa on the Iron Throne. I feel like she would be a great leader. Not that she’s really in the battles of the Iron Throne at the moment at all, but she’s a really, really great character and one that would do it fantastically.”

Totally down with that…right after she kills the fuck outta Ramsay Bolton.
