Good morning. Have you voted in the Pajiba 10 yet? If not, please do so! From a cursory look at the votes so far, it looks like it’s going to be one of those rare years where there is no runaway winner, and that entry into the Top 10 will come down to only a few votes.
In the meantime, here are a couple of photos from the forthcoming Joker sequel, Joker: Folie À Deux. I love that The Hangover guy gets a Joker movie and suddenly thinks he’s Scorcese, but I love even more that he is reportedly making it a musical with Lady Gaga, which is almost like poking the edgelord fans of the original in the eye.
Do we know a lot about the sequel yet? We do not. But Gaga is playing Harley Quinn, and the cast includes Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, and Zazie Beetz. I also have a feeling that there is little concern about superhero fatigue here.
A courtroom drama musical! Splendid! Joker: Folie À Deux opens on October 4th, 2024, about a month before election day. Perfect.
