Three Trailers: Polymorphic Pattinsons Vs. Bonkers 'Brothers' Brolin and Dinklage

The Mickey 17 trailer is so fun that my brain didn’t even register Robert Pattinson the first time I watched it.

Written and directed by Bong Joon Ho (Parasite, Okja), Mickey 17 stars Pattinson as the ultimate worker drone willing to sacrifice his life, or lives, for his employers.

Mickey 17 also stars Naomi Ackie (Rise of Skywalker), Steven Yeun (Beef), Toni Collette (Hereditary), and Mark Ruffalo (13 Going on 30).

It will be in theaters nationwide on January 31, and internationally on January 28.

Brothers is a movie written for Pajiba audiences. It stars Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage as twins with criminal pasts who need to pull off one last job. Glenn Close stars as their mom, also starring Taylour Paige (Zola), M. Emmet Walsh (Blood Simple), Jennifer Landon (Yellowstone), and Brendan Fraser.

That is one hell of a buddy/heist/road trip movie.

Brothers is directed by Max Barbakow (Palm Springs) and will premiere on Prime Video on October 17.

For some reason, I thought Azrael was about angels or demons. Or angelic demons. Maybe it’s the name. Well, it’s not about angels. Or maybe it is.

In a world where no one speaks, a devout female-led community hunts down a young woman who has escaped imprisonment. Recaptured, Azrael is due to be sacrificed to an ancient evil in the wilderness but fights for her own survival.

What are they devoted to? That shadowy creature in the woods could be an angel! Or Slenderman, I suppose.

Azrael stars Samara Weaving (Ready or Not), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Femme), and Vic Carmen Sonne. It opens in theaters on September 27.

When the Internet Gods give you a trailer for a movie about Danny Trejo raising desperados from the dead to create some sort of Magnificent Zombie Seven, you are obligated to show that trailer to as many people as possible. It’s just the law, so here’s your lagniappe.
