It’s a sad day, y’all. Eddie Brock and Venom are breaking up. Venom: The Last Dance marks the end of the unexpectedly delightful Venom trilogy.
I don’t think anyone believed Venom would be the crown jewel of the extended Spiderverse, but we’re going to miss these two when they’re gone.
Joining Tom Hardy in the cast are Juno Temple (Fargo), Rhys Ifans, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Peggy Lu, and Cristo Fernández (Ted Lasso).
Venom: The Last Dance will be in theaters on October 25th.
Andrew covered the details of MAX’s upcoming Salem’s Lot adaptation last month. Now we have a release date and a trailer that makes excellent use of a Gordon Lightfoot song.
Salem’s Lot stars Lewis Pullman (Bad Times At The El Royale), Alfre Woodard, Makenzie Leigh, Pilou Asbæk (Game Of Thrones), Jordan Preston Carter, John Benjamin Hickey (The Good Fight), and Bill Camp (Presumed Innocent). It will premiere on MAX on October 3rd.
I get asked to take a lot of surveys for Prime Video. There’s always a question along the lines of, “Did this show make you feel like Prime Video creates shows and movies that are made for you?”
Usually, I give some BS answer on the sliding scale, but then they went and produced House of Spoils, and I do believe Prime Video made this movie for me. This scary, food-service-based thriller stars Ariana DeBose (Schmigadoon!), Barbie Ferreira (Euphoria), and Arian Moayed (Succession). It’s like The Bear but with spookiness, and spoiled food.
House of Spoils will begin streaming on Prime Video October 3rd.
This week’s lagniappe is the trailer for Terrifier 3 because the internet is fresh out of movie trailers about animals on drugs, animals vs. other animals, animals becoming natural disasters, and/or ridiculous Kaiju destroying cities.
