Just Taika Waititi Destroying an Interview Set to Give Chris Evans a Hug

Two weeks ago, Taika Waititi was out at the Toronto Film Festival promoting Jojo Rabbit, which ultimately won the audience award at TIFF, despite Disney’s worries that the film would hurt its brand. Meanwhile, Rian Johnson was also there to promote Knives Out, the best whodunit of the decade. Chris Evans, of course, is one of the stars of Knives Out, and he also played Captain America in the MCU, for which Taika Waititi was a director.

Taika was very excited about seeing Chris Evans. In fact, he was so excited that in his eagerness to give Evans a hug, Waititi inadvertently destroyed the interview set for Knives Out.

Taika Waititi really does love his Marvel pals, so much so that he was even willing to appear in a Jeremy Renner music video, which is above and beyond the call of loyalty.
