First Look: Live-Action Dora the Explorer; Live-Action Mulan; and Horror 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch'
Here’s your first look at Liu Yifei, the title character in Disney’s live-action Mulan, which will open in theaters in March 2020.
The movie will also star Jet Li (the emperor of China), Gong Li (a powerful witch), and Donnie Yen (Mulan’s mentor, Commander Tung). Maybe 2020 will finally be the year that Tori gets Donnie Yen on to the Pajiba 10.
Here, meanwhile, is your first look at Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka in the horror reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. It’s called The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, comes from Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre Sacasa, and is set for Netflix in the fall.
Here’s the logline from Netflix: “Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family, and the daylight world humans inhabit.”
That sounds intense, so let’s follow it with our first look at the live-action Dora the Explorer.
It comes from Michael Bay’s production studio, and yes, the social media comments about Isabela Moner have been as vile and sexualized as you might expect.
