Rifftrax Live: 'Sharknado' Is The Best Way To Watch 'Sharknado' While Sober
A long time ago, in a city currently covered in snow, several Pajibans and a few Overlords met up for a Cinema Event. That event was a midnight showing of SyFy’s Sharknado. We were driven nearly to madness, saved only by our riffing on the insanity on the screen. It helped that we’re all pretty mad to start with, honestly.
Last summer, I watched Sharknado on the big screen again, because I am a glutton for punishment. The madness this time was held back by professional riffing, courtesy of Michael J. Nelson, Bill Corbett, and Kevin Murphy of MST3K and Rifftrax. Now you can pre-order the their live Sharknado show and stream it from the comfort of your own home. It’s better than self-flagellation, as far as punishment goes!
Rifftrax Live: Sharknado is available to pre-order now and will be released on February 18th. Standard definition is $12.95 and HD is a couple of bucks more, but you’ll want that quality to fully appreciate the subtlety of Tara Reid’s performance. Unfortunately, you won’t get the pre-show trivia cards shown in theaters. I’ve snagged my two favorites to rub that fact in your face.
