This week on The Graham Norton Show we had Matthew Perry, Miriam Margolyes, and Gemma Arterton. Bit of a strange couch but I’ve seen stranger ones. It was Matthew Perry’s first time there, so he gets a bit of a primer on how things work from Graham with an assist from Gemma and Miriam. We also learn that Miriam Margolyes has never seen Friends and I learned that Gemma Arterton is only a few months older than me and what am I doing with my life?
Anyway, Matthew Perry came in to the swing of things pretty quickly, sharing a story about the time he thought he was on the verge of being a big movie star for about two and a half hours:
Then we found out that Matthew Perry almost missed auditioning for Friends due to a commitment to another show that didn’t get picked up. And then they give him all of Chandler’s questions from the infamous apartment quiz.
I feel like they went a bit easy on him for his first go-round, but I’m also disappointed not to hear a bit more from Margolyes and Arterton. But since this is not the first time I’ve seen Matthew Perry on a talk show, I’m probably less interested in him than the Graham Norton staff would be.
