Some of You Aren't Following Ice-T on Twitter and it SHOWS

As a rule, I don’t tend to follow celebrities on social media because, well, their accounts tend to be highly stylized and not particularly engaging. However, none of that applies to Ice-T, who I have loved ever since I was 11-years old and snuck a viewing of Tank Girl at a slumber party, and who, of course, plays my beloved Sergeant Tutuola on SVU. He is also married to Coco, who I love for other reasons, because Coco, like Dolly Parton, is always dressed to the nines in a very specific way, which happens to be my favorite way.

Anyway, Ice-T doesn’t f*ck around on Twitter, and if you come for him, you’re a damn dummy, so don’t be a knucklehead and do it. He does, however, share his words of wisdom frequently and I love him for it.

For instance, take this tweet, which I repeated to myself as a mantra for days after:

A. Hustler. Must. Have. A. Plan. Seriously, that is poetry right there, and he is absolutely right. A Hustler must have a plan because without one they’re just bullshit.

Then there was this beautiful exchange, for which I am eternally grateful I witnessed.

Sometimes, you just gotta stand with the Juggalos, friend. Ice-T stands with all manner of people though—

Don’t worry, he stands with you, too—

There’s also a lot of inspiration in his tweets, and not in a dumb “if you dream it, you can do it” bullshit way that permeates social media. You will get no “Live. Laugh. Love” here.

I could sit here all day and post his Tweets because they are spectacular in a non-bullshit, totally authentic way. But at this point, I encourage all of you who don’t follow this legend on Twitter to do so, and get your daily dose of Ice. I’m pretty sure you won’t regret it.
