Great Britain is now kind of, almost but not entirely, in lockdown over COVID-19. All non-essential businesses are closed and we citizens have been advised to stay at home except for emergencies and that one daily walk we’re allowed to take as long as it’s not in a crowd. That hasn’t stopped plenty of numpties from going on caravan holidays or rushing to McDonald’s before it closed its doors. Look, we’re not very bright as a species even when there isn’t a literal pandemic going on.
One of the latest individuals to test positive for coronavirus is Charles Mountbatten-Windsor, a 71-year-old diplomat and part-time environmentalist. Old Charlie, who has two children and splits his time between London and the Highlands, said that he had tested positive for the virus while at home in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. A statement offered further details.
In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland. The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing.
It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.
I suppose when the bulk of your job is made up of shaking strangers’ hands, something like this was bound to happen.

Yes, I have spent far too much time trying to think of a coronavirus/coronation joke and I’ve still come up empty. All suggestions in the comments, please.
Now that the British media’s favorite royal scapegoat, Meghan, is happily out of the spotlight and living in Canada, one can’t help but wonder who they will try to blame for Charles’s infection. Perhaps Meghan closing her own car door led to the entire epidemic. Curse that difficult woman and her desire to not have the tabloids support her sh*tty father in his ceaseless attempts to publicly bully her. She must be the culprit of this entire panic. I guarantee that we’ll see at least one article claiming that Charles was so stressed by the Sussex exit that he was left weakened enough for the coronavirus to strike.
