Our National Crisis Has Ended: Dwayne Johnson Is At Peace Once More

2016 has been a real asshole of a year, snatching away Bowie and Prince, giving us the mind-melting rise of Republican Babadook Donald Trump, and a summer of shockingly subpar cinematic spectacle. So when enthusiasm personified Dwayne Johnson admitted he was having a tough time on the set of Fast 8 because of some “candyass” male co-stars, we were worried. When it was revealed that the Rock’s beef was with none other than Vin Diesel, we were downright distraught.

In a year with so much divisiveness, hatred and disappointment, how could Fast and Furious fans be expected to choose sides when each offers a beloved and brawny ray of sunshine in human form?! Especially when this film series is all about the importance of the family you build!

Thankfully, 2016’s latest trial has come to a quick and peaceable end. Reports say Diesel and Johnson had a sit down, and the latter’s latest Instagram share suggests the beef has been mightily squashed.

We don’t need to choose sides, Pajibans! Because just like us, the Fast and Furious family fights sometimes. It doesn’t mean they don’t love each other. It means passions run high when you’re making the most macho melodrama franchise the world has ever known! Oh men, you so emotional, but we love you anyway.
