Last night on The Graham Norton Show Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan, Nicole Kidman, and Nigella Lawson discussed many interesting things. One of those things was Kidman’s stage fright that she recently developed after returning to the West End after years away from theater which was an interesting look into a very human side of these actresses:

There was also a discussion of birth names and how disappointing they can be. mostly led by Meryl Streep who I feel gave up her right to complain about her name when she named her daughter Mamie. But then we got one of those moments that could only happen on The Graham Norton Show; Nicole Kidman was born in Hawaii and was given a nickname that was the same name as an elephant born the same day in Honolulu. Apparently Norton’s research team got in touch with the zoo to see how the elephant was doing, and got kind of a depressing story back. Any other talk show, the topic would have been scrapped, but Norton looks positively gleeful at the chance to ruin just everyone’s evening here:

And finally, perhaps to get Graham back for the elephant story, Nicole Kidman demanded that a half-Australian who was eliminated from The Big Red Chair be brought back to finish his story about cat vomit. He frankly did not deserve it.
