Mariah Carey’s already had a big year and it’s barely May. When the ball dropped in Times Square this past New Year’s Eve, Mariah was there trying her best to make up for her disastrous performance the previous year. And she did ok! She managed to stay upright and sing a number of correct notes. Since then, her ex-manager has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against her, claiming that Mimi was always walking around naked and acting in a sexually inappropriate manner. And perhaps uncoincidentally, Mimi recently revealed that she’s been struggling with bipolar II disorder since 2011. But Mariah’s the kind of diva who’s not about to let those kinds of petty problems stand in the way of greatness. The show must go on, dahlings. And once again, the show will go on in Vegas.
Mariah’s just announced that she’ll be starting a residency at Caesars Palace called The Butterfly Returns.
I’m thrilled to be returning to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with a BRAND NEW residency, THE BUTTERFLY RETURNS, beginning July 5th! Fan Club presale starts Tue 5/1 before the public on sale this Friday at 10am PT! For tickets & all dates visit https://t.co/OHpG7pZ7iY! ❤ 🦋 pic.twitter.com/n0Xv3lXSK3

This is Mariah’s second residency at Caesars. Her show Mariah #1 to Infinity ran from 2015 through 2017.
Mariah is also teasing new music, coming straight from her Pepto pink palace.
I am so excited for Mariah getting her shit together! She’s one of the last true Divas. These kids coming up behind her with their humility and grace or whatnot, simply cannot hold a candle (or a champagne flute, or a finger to indicate an eminent high C) to our Mariah Carey.
