Celebrities You Didn't Realize Were 9/11 Truthers

Last night, I stumbled across a write-up for a documentary film that was announced in 2012 called September Morn, a movie — like Loose Change — that would posit that 9/11 was an inside job. The doc was meant to feature a few celebrities, one of which — Woody Harrelson — was doing Hunger Games at the time, and has since done True Detective.

That documentary never materialized, and though you can see many, many references to the announcement of the movie, it just disappeared. I began to wonder, in fact, if there was a conspiracy behind its disappearance because Hollywood didn’t want to put one of its huge franchises in jeopardy. As I travelled down this silly rabbit hole, I found nothing else on September Morn, except that it’s apparently still in pre-production, but I did end up discovering other celebrity truthers, some of whom I really like. A few of these names didn’t surprise me. Some bummed me out.

Mark Ruffalo — “I’m baffled by the way all three buildings came down. My first reaction was that buildings don’t fall down like that. I’ve done quite a bit of my own research …The fact that the 9/11 investigation went from the moment the planes hit to the moment the buildings fell, and nothing before or after, I think, makes that investigation completely illegitimate. If you’re going to do a crime investigation, you have to find motive. We didn’t follow that. It was quickly pushed away, obviously. There was no evidence at the biggest crime scene. None of us know what happened but I’m totally and completely behind reopening that investigation. Where is the money? Follow the money, guys!”

Woody Harrelson — “[W]hy were reports stifled and investigations stopped? Investigative journalist, Greg Palast, had this to say: ‘There is no question we had what looked like the biggest failure of the intelligence community since Pearl Harbor but what we are learning now is it wasn’t a failure, it was a directive.’ I am reading a book now called The New Pearl Harbor by David Ray Griffin. I’ve been stuck in the position of ignoring my gut — knowing things don’t stack up. Even though our government obviously took advantage of 9/11 by making it their ‘Reichstag.,’ I told myself, ‘Surely they weren’t involved.’ After reading this book I can’t doubt that our government was at least complicit in allowing 9/11 to happen. Get a copy and pass it to all your friends, the evidence is irrefutable.”

Martin Sheen — “There are obviously a lot of unanswered questions, let me leave it that way, that are very, very disturbing. The key to that is Building 7 and how that came down under very, very suspicious circumstances.”

Charlie Sheen — “Show us this incredible maneuvering, just show it to us. Just show us how this particular plane pulled off these maneuvers. 270 degree turn at 500 miles and hour descending 7,000 feet in two and a half minutes, skimming across treetops the last 500 meters. We have not been able to confirm that a large commercial airliner hit the Pentagon because the government has seized and refused to release any footage that would show the impact. I understand in the interest of national security that maybe not release the Pentagon cameras but what about the Sheraton, what about the gas station, what about the Department of Transportation freeway cam? What about all these shots that had this thing perfectly documented? Instead they put out five frames that they claim not to have authorized, it’s really suspicious.”

Ed Asner — “My bottom line on all of this is that this country—which is the greatest, strongest country that ever existed in the world, in terms of power—supposedly had a defense that could not be penetrated all these years. But all of that was eradicated by nineteen Saudi Arabians, supposedly. Some of whom didn’t even know how to fly.”

Rosie O’Donnell — “I do believe it is the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics for the World Trade Center Tower Seven, building seven, which collapsed in on itself, it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved…”

Willie Nelson — “The day it happened, I saw one fall and it was just so symmetrical. I said, ‘Wait a minute, I just saw that last week at the casino in Las Vegas’, and you see these implosions all the time, and the next one fell and I said, ‘Hell, there’s another one.’ They’re trying to tell me that an airplane did it and I can’t go along with that.”

Janeane Garofalo — “9/11 was an inside job!! I have come to this conclusion about that. … I think all Air America phone-in callers should open by saying, ‘9/11 was an inside job. We can all agree on that.’, then get on with their specific question or comment. We should re-condition the listening audience to accept the Truth about 9/11 as the gospel.”
