Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega on Being Bad at Keeping Secrets
It was Star Wars night over on The Graham Norton Show last night, as it probably was a lot of other places, and so the guests were Carrie Fisher along with new stars Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. They opened with a discussion about when they were able to tell people about their role in the movie, since absolute secrecy was required while filming was happening.
So there’s a taxi driver in London who’s realizing that he missed out on a bit tabloid payday, but I also think it’s hilarious that Carrie Fisher told Graham of all people. I now want to know if she did that to other people and basically just went around ruining lives for about a year. No one would know until now, since they were all sworn to secrecy. I also love her sparkly eyeshadow and that she brought her dog, Gary Fisher with her.
There was a brief non-Star Wars interlude when David Beckham came on to talk about his son Brooklyn and their petty rivalries. It’s kind of adorable.
But, of course, David Beckham got the last laugh because he got to wield a lightsaber against new Star Wars hero John Boyega.
Interestingly enough, that is not the first time lightsabers have shown up on The Graham Norton Show, here’s a bit of a throwback to Ewan McGregor and Chris O’Dowd playing with them a few years ago.
Happy Star Wars weekend to one and all!
