Video: When Sam Rockwell Dances, Rainbows and Unicorns Weep with Envy

A long-time reader of the site, Ali, knows exactly what makes the world tick. If we could somehow harness the energy of Sam Rockwell’s dancing, we could free ourselves from the Middle East. If we could combine the dancing energy of Sam Rockwell and Paul Rudd, we could eliminate the need for fossil fuels across the globe.

It’s been scientifically proven, in fact, that nothing brings more joy than Sam Rockwell liberating himself from the constraints of normal walking patterns. The man can dance. See for yourself, in all its two minutes and 42 seconds of glory.

"Free ourselves of the Middle East..."? What? You mean like genocide?

Obviously, a complete treat to watch. Still though...mainly did just make me wanna watch the Confessions screen test video in full.

So I did.

Computer is now all a-covered in warm happiness-juice.

You used quotation marks, but made up your own quote. So...shut up.

I'm not much for dancing yet somehow that video is increasing my man-crush for Sam Rockwell even more.

Posted by: Paultera at February 28, 2011 11:57 AM

I would marry Sam Rockwell. If he'd let me.

The transformation from nerd to sex god in Charlie's Angels is amazing.

Posted by: Carrie at February 28, 2011 12:02 PM

Nice. I gained a new appreciation for this guy after watching Moon a couple of nights ago.

Posted by: JohnnyBee at February 28, 2011 12:08 PM

The video made me happy, except when it reminded me of the existence of The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy movie, and then it made me sad.

The confliction, it burns.

Posted by: Groundloop at February 28, 2011 12:24 PM

I gotta get me some-o-that.

Posted by: Cindy at February 28, 2011 12:24 PM

Groundloop, I have a cream for that.

Also, good LORD HE IS SO SEXY.

Posted by: Nadine at February 28, 2011 1:19 PM

I just swooned.

zeke the pig, be careful with that stuff, it stains.

Posted by: captainfireypants at February 28, 2011 1:43 PM

He can rock a step, can't he?

I never put together his mad moves in Iron Man 2 with those pimped-out steps in Charlies Angels.

He needs to keep dancing.

Dear Hollywood,

Make a movie with Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken having a dance off.

It will get you all the money. All of it.

Posted by: Barbaric Yawp at February 28, 2011 1:59 PM

This... actually makes Monday better. Sam Rockwell dancing = world peace, whirled peas and all the things, also too.

Make a movie with Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken having a dance off.

YES! Seriously, yes.

Also, Barbaric Yawp is like the best handle ever. I only wish I'd thought of it.

Posted by: MM at February 28, 2011 2:16 PM

Oh Lordy, the world needs so much more of that.

Posted by: Mrs Smith at February 28, 2011 2:36 PM

That right there? That ended my dry spell. Yeah.

Posted by: Rest In Peace at February 28, 2011 2:43 PM

Oh, fuck yes. That is one of the hottest things I've ever seen.

Posted by: Aislinn at February 28, 2011 3:32 PM

Can't wait to get home from work to watch this. Monday from hell...

Posted by: denesteak at February 28, 2011 3:37 PM

thank you and god bless

Posted by: maxpurr9 at February 28, 2011 3:54 PM

Flove. This. Gawd damn, but he's flexible....

Posted by: Meggrs at February 28, 2011 4:31 PM

YOu read my mind! as soon as I saw this caption I thought:

"Rudd-Rockwell" Please Jon Stewart, make it happen!

Posted by: JuiceinLA at February 28, 2011 6:14 PM

Aaaaaaaaand, now I'm pregnant.

The father is Sam Rockwell's sex pollen that flies through the air when he dances

Posted by: Laurie at February 28, 2011 7:20 PM

Yes, please.

Posted by: greer at February 28, 2011 7:50 PM

Well when they make the James Brown biopic now we know who'll play the Hardest Working Man in Show Business.

Posted by: John W at February 28, 2011 8:50 PM

I have no words, only high pitched noises of glee.

Posted by: Uda at February 28, 2011 9:01 PM

Amazing.

Posted by: Denesteak at February 28, 2011 11:34 PM

This video is not available in my country. I was promised the deliciousness that is Sam Rockwell dancing and now the rainbows and unicorns in my heart have died. Is this some kind of elaborate revenge scheme aimed at smoking, hairy and promiscious Europeans?

Posted by: nischi at March 1, 2011 5:49 AM

The boy's moves are golden. I loved the Confessions screen test. I even ripped a move from it where he drags one leg and pulls the other across with both hands. Use it on the dance floor at clubs all the time.

Posted by: Muteki at March 1, 2011 6:48 AM

Love. Him.

Posted by: Kaleena at March 1, 2011 11:16 AM

I am filled with rainbows and unicorns now. Which is pleasant, but not conducive to writing a paper. Which is what I should be doing. Which I would do if that video hadn't made me swoon and filled my head with fantastic dancing fantasies. Which I'll leave at that.

I missed watching this yesterday because I am slow and silly. But thank goodness, because I'm in the middle of a shite day and just giggled at my screen for 2 1/2 minutes. My boss already thinks I'm nuts, now he's certain.

Posted by: Captain Tuttle at March 1, 2011 3:26 PM

So adorable I can't even handle it.

Posted by: squeeziee at March 1, 2011 3:43 PM

Thanks Ali! I have seen all these separately but altogether now, its like 2+2 = 87...(or maybe 42) This seriously made my day.

Can I propose that this be posted whenever Sam is mentioned on Pajiba (kind of like Turk's Poison dance is always linked to any mention of Donald Faison)? I think this needs to happen. Dustin?
