After two films and several years of working together, for whatever reason, Woody Harrelson had never thought to put two and two together and conclude on his own that Liam and Chris Hemsworth were brothers. It’s not that he didn’t know who Chris Hemsworth was, or that he’d never heard of Thor, it’s just that the thought never occurred to him that he was working with the lesser Hemsworth (no offense) until a junket reporter brought up to Liam the fact that The Hunger Games was opening soon after his brother’s film, Thor: The Dark World.

The range of emotions that Harrelson goes through — from laid-back and totally high, to bemused and totally-high — are fabulous. He is clearly baked. Skip straight to the 3:50 mark.

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

  • I just love the way he says "I totally get it." He sounds honestly amazed that he missed that.

To be fair, he probably was trying to avoid a "Donald/Danny Glover" assumption. Still it is really hilarious.

    Never change, Woody.

I've watched this about five times and every frame is perfect, it's like you can see the gears turning in his head. The host mentions that Hemsworth's brother has a movie coming out, Woody gives a confused look (his brother's an actor?), then they make small talk about Thor (Chris? Hemsworth? Mind. Blown). This guy is living the dream.

  • Well, considering the different levels of talent between the Hemsworth siblings, I think we should cut Woody some slack.

  • I say lesser Hemsworth is always meant with absolutely offense. He sucks at acting.

    "It's just Scotch, dude."

Skip to 3:50 and miss Jennifer Lawrence being Jennifer Lawrence (read: amazing)? What's wrong with you?

EDIT: Just got to that part of the clip. Never mind. You are correct. Skip to 3:50, then go back and watch Jennifer Lawrence.

I have to be honest... I have watched that bit of the video about 15 times now. It's just so delightful. I've been revisiting Will and Grace lately, currently on the Nathan episodes and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

  • Brad Weaver

Fun fact: Nick Offerman was supposed to be Nathan.

  • JuBN

    No way!!!!

  • Bodhi

Oh.... that was glorious. Never change, Woody, never change

  • Heeeee, I love him.

Aw, Lesser Hemsworth. You look like every single dude in my college's Lacrosse team. And that's not really a good thing.

  • ZbornakSyndrome

He kind of is the generic brand of movie star, isn't he?

  • He's just the blandest of the 'cute' guys out there. There are millions of him in the world. It's like his brother stole all of the charisma and charm that were doled out to that family.

  • Bert_McGurt

Baked is the natural state of the Harrelson.

  • MrsAtaxxia

Woody Harrelson is a national treasure. He's just so damn delightful. And high. So very, very high.

  • simplysarah

That was great. Love the look on his face when it clicks.

  • Maguita NYC

I want some of his tea bags!
Wait! That's not what I meant...

  • NateMan

    Yes it was.

  • Maguita NYC

    Bad Kitty! :p

  • Natallica

    "Whatever reason" = weed

  • kildarepaul

    4:00 to 4:20 mark.

    The rest is hard work.
