Look: If Rick Astley walked into my house right now and began singing “Never Gonna Give You Up,” even if I didn’t mean it, I’d freak out just to save him from the awkwardness. The Danish, I suspect, value composure over politeness, so when Astley walks in during the broadcast of a Danish radio program, the hosts do not lose it. They do not express shock. Or laugh. Or in anyway appropriately acknowledge how flipping cool it was that they just got Rick’Rolled by RICK ASTLEY. IN PERSON.

Nope. They’re nonplussed. They’re like, “Huh. Rick Astley. That’s something.” Then they continue along with their radio show, introducing the audience to Astley like it’s no big deal that A MOTHERF**KING YouTube Icon just Meme’d them … TO THEIR FACE.
