It’s so fascinating learning the language and grammar of a new platform—and seeing it evolve. I’ve been a TikTok user for I would guess about a year—finally taking the plunge after somebody, *COUGH*Seth*Cough*, broke my resistance down—and since then I’ve grown attuned to its features and rhythms, and its ludicrously responsive and terrifyingly effective algorithm has got to know me probably better than some people I’ve called friends.

Well, after a year or whatever it’s been, I’m prepared to say I’ve found what must be the best TikTok of them all. I might as well quit the platform now, as I’m sure there’s nothing that can really top it. Surprisingly, it’s not a dog video, or someone falling over—my two usual internet content staples. No, it’s a dissection of American imperialism—I suppose number 3 on my list—but it’s done in such a way that could only exist on TikTok. If you had shown me this before I’d spent some time on the platform I’d probably struggle tuning into its frequency, but now I just sit back and applaud:
