We all know Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. We all love Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He’s one of the nicest and most hard-working guys in show business. So to find out that someone who is that nice and that hard-working is suddenly upset, your curiosity is naturally going to be piqued. And that’s what happened when this Instagram post from The Rock went up yesterday.
Now considering how the Fast & Furious films are all about family and how family is more important than anything, we couldn’t believe that someone would come on to the set of Fast 8 and undermine that dynamic with their bullshit. So who could this mysterious candy-ass possibly be?
Vin Diesel? Of course not, he’s been a part of this series since the very beginning.
Kurt Russell? The man’s been in the game since the Sixties and exudes laid-back professionalism from every pore.
Tyrese Gibson? Ehh…it’s possible. Especially considering that many of his tweets and Instagram posts have made people wonder how many times he’s played football without a helmet.
Ludacris? The man was in Crash and New Year’s Day, you think he’d risk a golden goose like this so he could go back to making movies that bad?
So all suspicion of Actor Exhibiting Candy-Ass Behavior soon fell on none other than Scott Eastwood.
And it made sense, considering many of the recent things that has come out of his mouth.
But it turned out that all of our suspicions of who the Candy-Ass was on set were wrong. Because according to TMZ, the Candy-Ass who was working The Rock’s very last nerve while shooting Fast 8…
…was Vin Diesel!
I know, right? I couldn’t believe it either.
While rumors spread that The Rock was pissed at Scott Eastwood, who by all accounts screams entitled douchebag,…it was none other than franchise leader Vin Diesel, aka Dominic Toretto, who did not smell what The Rock was cooking.“The Rock’s rant about unprofessional male co-stars was targeted at Vin Diesel,” the gossip site reported, and “the 2 had a secret meeting on the Fast 8 set Tuesday to hash things out. Production sources tell TMZ … when the Rock went nuts on social media Monday night, claiming certain male co-stars were not stand up guys and too ‘chicken shit’ to confront him … he was referring to Vin.”
“We’re told The Rock has butted heads with Vin during the production, in part because V.D. is a producer and has made decisions that didn’t sit well with the former wrestling champ,” they added (The Rock is also a producer on the film). “Our sources say The Rock and Vin had a meeting on the Atlanta set mid-day Tuesday … partly because tensions were running so high it was almost impossible to shoot scenes. We do not know if they resolved their issues.”
What the hell, you two? Family, you talk about it in your films all the time. It’s bad enough that we have to see our favorite heroes beat the shit out of each other in Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Captain America: Civil War, and now to find out that you two are at each other’s throats?
I think we’re all going to need a moment. In fact, we all might need several moments.
